Contractor website design for Springfield, MO roofers, HVAC and home-service pros

Contractor website design means building a site that does one job well: it helps a homeowner pick up the phone or request an estimate. Get It Ready designs these sites for contractors in roofing, HVAC, remodeling, plumbing, electrical and exterior work, in Springfield, MO and nearby towns.

The short answer

Get It Ready designs custom websites for home-service contractors in Springfield, Missouri and nearby towns, from roofing and HVAC to remodeling, plumbing, electrical and exterior work. Each site opens quickly on a phone, shows a tap-to-call button and sends estimate requests to your email. Plans start at $199 a month, with a 12-month minimum from launch, and you pay nothing until the site goes live.

What a contractor website must do

A good home service website makes it easy for a homeowner to reach you, trust you and say what they need. Six things do most of the work.

  • A phone number you can tap. On a phone the number should be a button. Typing digits from memory loses people.
  • A short estimate request. Name, phone, address and a line about the job. Every extra field is a reason to quit.
  • Your own photos. Real jobs, real crews, real trucks. Stock photos tell a homeowner nothing about you.
  • Where you work. Name the towns you serve in plain words, so nobody has to guess.
  • A way to check you out. A link to your Google Business Profile, where visitors can read reviews, plus any license or insurance details you choose to publish.
  • Speed. Pages that stall on a phone get abandoned, so we keep them light.

Do contractors need a website?

Most contractors do need a website, because it is the one place online that you control. A Google Business Profile and a Facebook page help, but the platforms set the rules and can change them. Referrals still carry a lot of work. A homeowner who gets your name from a neighbor may search it before calling, and a missing or broken site weakens that referral. We cannot promise a site brings in jobs. The honest exception: if you are booked out on word of mouth alone, a simple one-page site may be all you need. Our Springfield study found that 157 of 707 local home-service businesses listed no site of their own.

Website design for contractors, trade by trade

We cover five families of home-service trades. Each has its own reader, its own busy season and its own page plan, so each gets its own page here.

  • Roofing. Storm calls and leaks drive the work. See roofing website design.
  • HVAC. No-heat and no-cooling calls, plus tune-ups and care plans. See HVAC website design.
  • Remodeling and general contractors. Long decisions, big photos, a slow sale. See remodeling website design.
  • Plumbing and electrical. Urgent repairs and small jobs. See plumber website design. Electrician website design follows the same plan: the emergency call first, then the scheduled work.
  • Exterior trades. Concrete, fencing, landscaping, trees, pools and garage doors, covered next.

Concrete, fencing, landscaping and other exterior trades

Exterior trades such as concrete, fencing, landscaping, tree service, pools and garage doors sell with pictures. A homeowner wants to see a finished driveway, a fence line or a patio before calling. A concrete contractor website needs a gallery of your own jobs, a plain list of what you pour and a short form. Landscaping website design adds the seasons: spring cleanup, summer care and fall planting, each on its own page. Here is the exterior-trades row of our study.

What our Springfield study found

Our October 2026 study found that many local contractor sites miss the basics. We checked the websites of 707 local home-service companies around Springfield. Of those, 157 (22%) listed no website of their own, and 107 (15%) pointed to a site that would not load. The other 443 loaded. Of those, 190 (43%) showed no estimate request on the homepage, 169 (38%) lacked a tap-to-call link, 41 (9%) were not set up for phones and 20 (5%) were not https. Read these as upper bounds: when we hand-checked the 50 worst remodelers, the automated check was wrong for 12 of them. The full study explains the method.

Already have a site? Website redesign without the risk

A website redesign with Get It Ready starts with your domain, not your design. First we check who holds your domain name. If a past designer or host registered it, we help you move it into your own name and account. Your current site stays up while we build the new one. We switch only when you approve the new site. We reuse your photos and words where they work, and we map each old page to its new home.

How a contractor website design project works

  1. Talk. A short call, in English or Spanish, about your trade, your towns and the jobs you want.
  2. Design. We design the site around your work, services and photos. It is custom, not a template.
  3. Approve. You review the finished site before it goes public. You pay nothing while we build or while you look it over.
  4. Launch. The site goes live, your first payment comes due and the 12-month minimum begins.
  5. Keep it running. We host the site, protect it, make up to one hour of edits each month and email a monthly report.

Contractor website pricing in brief

A Get It Ready contractor website costs $199 a month on Essential, $349 on Growth and from $499 on Pro. Pay the year up front and you get two months free: $1,990 or $3,490. Owning the site from day one is also an option: $2,500 once, then $79 a month. Growth also covers your Google Business Profile and adds a fresh local page or article every month. Pro adds landing pages built for the ads you run. Google Ads spend is not included. Every plan has a 12-month minimum from launch day. The pricing page shows the arithmetic, and the contractor website cost guide explains what moves the price.

Three concept sites for three kinds of trade

We made three concept sites to show how a trade-specific design works. The businesses are fictional, and every image is a 3D render. Ridgeback Roofing turns a hail checklist into an inspection request. Kettle Creek Heating & Air lets a visitor turn a thermostat dial from January to July. Birchline Remodeling lets a visitor pick cabinets and stone and leave a number. Open them on your phone.

Questions about contractor websites

How do I get started with a contractor website?

Request a call back with your name, phone number and trade. Caleb calls you to talk about your trade, your towns and the jobs you want more of. Then we design the site around your work and you approve it before it goes public. You pay nothing while we build, and your first payment is due on launch day, when the 12-month minimum begins.

What should a contractor website include?

A contractor website should include a tap-to-call button, a short estimate request form, photos of your own work, the towns you serve and a link to your Google Business Profile. List the services you offer, each on its own page, along with any license or insurance proof you choose to display. Keep it fast on a phone, because that is where most homeowners will open it.

How much does a contractor website cost in Springfield, MO?

A custom contractor website from Get It Ready costs $199 a month on Essential, $349 on Growth and from $499 on Pro. Nothing is due before launch day. The first 12 months on Essential add up to $2,388, or $1,990 when you pay the year up front. Prefer to own it from day one? That is $2,500 once, then $79 a month.

Can I redesign my website without losing my domain?

Yes. Before we change anything, we check who holds your domain. If someone else registered it, we help you move it into your own name and account. Your current site stays live while we build the new one, and we switch only when you approve. You keep your words, photos and customer leads either way.

Is a Google Business Profile enough without a website?

A profile puts you in Google Search and Maps, but it is a page on Google’s platform, and you do not control the rules. A website is yours: you choose the layout, the services and the way visitors reach you. The two work together, and your site should link to your profile. Our Business Profile guide covers the details.

Will a new website bring in jobs?

We cannot guarantee that, and nobody honest can. What we can do is remove the common reasons visitors leave: a site that will not load, a phone number you cannot tap, no way to ask for an estimate. Our study measured how local sites are built, not how many calls they bring in. Growth and Pro add work aimed at being found, but results depend on your market.

Do you build sites for electricians, landscapers and concrete contractors?

Yes. The five trade families we cover include plumbing and electrical, and exterior trades such as concrete, fencing, landscaping, trees, pools and garage doors. The pages differ: an electrician leads with the urgent call, while a landscaper leads with photos and seasons. Tell us your trade and towns, and we will say honestly whether we are a good fit.
